Katarina Witt was born at the end of December on Staaken East Germany. Her constant search for challenges has her exploring new work areas and to gain experience in various fields, including acting, writing, producing as well as presenting, and figure skating. Katarina Witt ended her amateur career in 1988 following the World Championships. Her first trip as a co-headliner as a professional Canada as well as the US over the following three year alongside World Champion Brian Boitano. The program "Witt and Boitano Skating" is so well-loved that Madison Square Garden in New York has sold out for an ice skating performance for the first time in ten years. She returns as a competitive athlete to at the Olympic Games at Lillehammer, 1994 for her third appearance. In 1994, she tours across the US and Canada in the role of a star on the ice shows "Stars on Ice" and "Champions in Ice" for the past 10 years. She is also a participant in numerous international professional competitions. Her own production company WITHWITT is the source of a variety of world-class ice-shows which produce, creates and produces headlines. With WITT, the company is setting new standards in the world of skating, and produces live event shows such as "Divas on Ice", "Katarina & Friends", "Enjoy the Stars" and "Winter Magic" for US as well as German television.
